Client onboarding
Everything we need — and exactly how to grant it.
Most engagements lose their first two weeks to access emails. This page replaces them: every account and asset we need to build your machine, why we need it, and the steps — safely, without ever handing over a password.
Your kickoff email carries the exact IDs and addresses to add for each one. This page is the how; that email is the who.
The accounts, one by one.
Two rules before you start. We never ask for a password — every platform below has a proper way to grant access to another business, and that is the only way we take it. And you keep ownership of everything you grant: access can be revoked by you, at any time, in the same place you granted it.
Your listing on Google Search and Maps — reviews, hours, posts. You add us as an Owner; you always remain the Primary owner, which outranks it.
- Sign in at business.google.com with the account that owns your listing
- Open your business → settings → People and access
- Add the email from your kickoff message as an Owner — you stay Primary owner, and a Primary owner can remove anyone, any time
Then tell usYou added it — we accept the invitation and confirm back the same day.
Managed advertising only. The ad account and the pixel are ours — they live in Zolley’s own Business Manager, built and maintained by us, so there is nothing to create or hand over. What we need is permission to run ads as your Facebook Page and Instagram account, granted business to business. No logins change hands.
- Open business.facebook.com → Settings → Partners
- Choose Add, then “Give a partner access to your assets”, and enter the partner ID from your kickoff email
- Select only your Facebook Page and Instagram account, with access to run ads — nothing else in your business is shared
Pay per lead?Skip this card. Your campaigns run entirely on our side and need nothing from your Meta account.
Nothing to grant. Search advertising runs from Zolley’s own Google Ads account, built and maintained by us — there is no account to create, link or hand over.
- Nothing to do on your side — campaigns, billing and history all run on ours
- What the campaigns produce — every lead and result — shows in your reporting
Already have a Google Ads account?Keep it as it is — we don’t need it, and nothing here touches it.
The numbers behind the site — what people do, and how Google sees you. Read access is enough to start.
- Google Analytics: Admin → property Access management → add the kickoff email
- Search Console: Settings → Users and permissions → add the same email
- No analytics yet? Skip this card — installing it is part of week one
Then tell usWe confirm the data is flowing and wire it into your reporting.
Where your website and email live. One thing first, in writing: your domain is yours — always. We handle hosting and configuration; legal ownership of the domain never moves, including domains we purchase on your behalf.
- Tell us which company the domain is registered with
- Grant delegate/technical access there, or we’ll send the two DNS records to add — either works
- Never transfer registrant ownership to anyone — us included; we will never ask
- Rebuilding an existing site? Tell us where it is hosted today — access there lets us migrate content and cut over cleanly
Not sure who holds it?Tell us the domain name — we can look up the registrar and walk you through it.
The build goes faster with the real thing — a page assembled from your actual brand beats a placeholder pass every time.
- Logo files (the original versions if you have them — not screenshots)
- Any brand guide, fonts and colors — or just examples you like and hate
- Photos of the real business — team, premises, work. Real beats stock
- Existing customer lists only if consent was properly collected — we’ll ask how each list was built before anything imports
How to sendA shared folder link in reply to the kickoff email is perfect. Nothing needs to be tidy — that’s our job.
Every grant above is reversible by you, in the same screen you made it. That is by design: control of the machine is ours to run; ownership of your accounts, your domain and your data stays yours.
What happens once access lands.
Access arriving early is the single biggest thing that moves the calendar. Here is what it sets in motion:
