Cookie Policy
Every cookie this website sets, what it does, how long it lasts, and how to switch off the ones you do not want.
The short version
This website uses cookies for analytics and advertising, plus two of our own: one remembers your privacy choice, and the other notes how you reached the site so that, if you send us an inquiry, we know which campaign or website brought it. Every one of them is listed below with what it does and how long it lasts.
You can switch the analytics and advertising cookies off at any time with the Your Privacy Choices link at the foot of every page. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we switch advertising off for you automatically.
1What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store, so it can recognize your browser later. Related technologies (local storage, session storage, tracking pixels, web beacons) do similar jobs by different means. Where this policy says "cookie", it means all of them.
2Cookies this website uses
| Cookie | Set by | Category | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|---|
zolley_consent (cookie and local storage) | Zolley | Necessary | Remembers your choices in Your Privacy Choices, so we do not ask again and do not undo an opt-out | 1 year |
zolley_attr (local storage) | Zolley | Attribution | Notes how you reached the site: the website that referred you, the page you landed on, any campaign tags in the link you followed and, unless you have opted out of Advertising, the ad click identifier from Google, Meta or Microsoft in that link. It keeps your first visit and your most recent visit from a campaign link. It stays in your browser and reaches us only with a form you submit | 90 days after it last changed |
_ga | Google Analytics | Analytics | Tells one visitor's browser apart from another with a random identifier, so visits can be counted | 2 years |
_ga_<ID> | Google Analytics | Analytics | Keeps track of the current visit | 2 years |
_clck | Microsoft Clarity | Analytics | A random identifier, so Clarity can tell a returning browser from a new one | 1 year |
_clsk | Microsoft Clarity | Analytics | Groups the pages you view in one visit into a single recording | 1 day |
_fbp | Meta pixel | Advertising | A random identifier Meta uses to measure our ads and to show them to people likely to be interested | 90 days |
_fbc | Meta pixel | Advertising | Set only if you arrived by clicking one of our ads on Facebook or Instagram, so that click can be credited | 90 days |
Microsoft Clarity and Meta may also set their own cookies on their own domains when their scripts load. Those are governed by their policies: Microsoft's privacy statement and Meta's cookie policy.
Analytics cookies are blocked when you switch off Analytics. Advertising cookies are blocked when you switch off Advertising, or when your browser sends Global Privacy Control. Google Analytics then runs without cookies, sending Google a basic, cookieless signal that a page was viewed, with no identifier that could recognize you on a later visit.
Our own zolley_attr entry is first-party and is never read by an analytics or advertising tool. Switching off Advertising, or sending Global Privacy Control, stops it holding ad click identifiers and deletes any it already holds. What happens to it once you submit a form is set out in §3 of the Privacy Policy.
3Services your browser contacts when a page loads
| Service | Provider | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Media, images and fonts | Our CRM and communications platform provider | Every image, logo and typeface on this site is served from their content-delivery network |
| Bot protection | Cloudflare, Inc. | Cloudflare Turnstile runs on our forms to tell people apart from automated scripts. It may store a short-lived technical value while it runs, is configured without clearance cookies, and is not used to track you across sites |
| Google Tag Manager | Google LLC | Loads the analytics and advertising tools in §2, and only the ones your choices allow |
| Google Analytics | Google LLC | Analytics (§2) |
| Microsoft Clarity | Microsoft Corporation | Analytics (§2): heatmaps and session recordings, with form fields masked |
| Meta pixel | Meta Platforms, Inc. | Advertising (§2) |
In each case your browser sends its IP address and standard request information to fetch the file. What each analytics and advertising tool receives, and what our backend sends to Meta and Google when you submit a form, is set out in §4 of the Privacy Policy.
4Links to other places
Our footer links to our profiles on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok and X. These are plain links, not embedded content. Nothing from those profiles loads on this site, and those platforms learn nothing about your visit to them unless you click through. (The Meta pixel in §2 is separate from these links.)
The booking confirmation offers an "add to calendar" link. Clicking it opens your own calendar provider; nothing is shared until you do.
5Your choices
- Your Privacy Choices: the link at the foot of every page. It has two switches, Advertising and Analytics. Switching off Advertising is the "Do Not Sell or Share" opt-out under state privacy laws. Your choice takes effect immediately and lasts a year on that browser.
- Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends it, Advertising is switched off for you automatically, without you visiting the settings.
- Your browser: every major browser lets you block or delete cookies; look for Privacy or Cookies in its settings. Blocking cookies will not break this website. If you delete cookies, your privacy choice is deleted with them, so set it again (or keep Global Privacy Control on).
6Changes to this policy
If we change the cookies we use, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be reflected here before the change takes effect, not after.
